Faculty and Staff
Our teachers bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to Moorings Presbyterian Preschool. Our staffs’ talents and outstanding qualifications make Moorings Presbyterian Preschool the special place it is. All teachers hold a bachelor’s degree early childhood education, child development or a related field. More than half our staff holds advanced degrees in early childhood education, child development or education. One hundred percent of our faculty has numerous years of teaching experience, in public and private schools.
Working in unison, our teachers are the pillars of the Moorings. Our faculty works together as classroom teams. They incorporate current research and ideas into their planning and daily practice. Our faculty participates in 10-15 hours of continuing education each year. All faculty and staff are background checked through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and F.B.I. and hold current certification in First Aid and CPR.
Director: Mrs. Nanette Rathbun
Mrs. Rathbun holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Pathology/Audiology and Special Education from Ashland University and a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Administration from the University of Akron. Mrs. Rathbun has resided in Naples for 20 years and has been the director of the preschool for eight years. She is married and the mother of three sons.

At the Moorings Presbyterian Preschool our teaching staff brings to the program a wealth of experience in early childhood education, as well as a deep commitment to our young students. We have worked together to develop a learning environment that is both challenging and nurturing. The Moorings Presbyterian Church, in its outreach to the larger community, has blessed us with a safe and pleasant environment. We are fortunate to enjoy the use of the Sanctuary, Baker Family Life Center, and Moss Hall.
